Road Trips

During Evan's first month of life he took two major road trips to Ohio and experienced two weddings. The first trip was to see his uncle get married and to head to Ohio to see his great grandparents. His great grandfather was not dowing well and since he really wanted to meet him we took an extended trip after the wedding to go see them. The second trip was a planned and leisurely trip to visit friends and family. We also attended his second cousin Jonathan's wedding.

• Travel with Evan usually was very plesant because he was sleeping most of the time, but he did get fussy and made this face that we just had to capture. Though the picture only begins to show the cuteness of this sad face we've nicknamed the face "the pokey lip."

  
  
  

  
  
  

• Great Grandma and Great Grandpa were very excited to get to see Evan for the first time and usually could be found just looking at him. Grandpa's vision was failing, but his spirits seemed to be lifted every time he got to hold his great-grandson.

• Fourth of July was spent in Ohio. We went outside and watched the fireworks from the lawn on Great Grandma and Grandpa's house. Evan was dressed for the occasion.

  
  
  

• On the way home from Cleveland, we stopped at the Mayfield Dairy. We took a dairy tour and ate some ice cream. Here Evan is with his Grandmother next to the Mayfield cow statue and another of all of us near the entrance sign.
